What do you do?

Supercharge your Spanish with 10+ hours of immersive activities every week—free with all classes! Led mostly in Spanish, these dynamic experiences boost your speaking and listening skills while diving into local culture. With our ever-changing schedule ensures that every week offers new adventures and opportunities to enhance your learning and cultural immersion.

Each week brings a fresh lineup of engaging experiences, including a language workshop to boost your Spanish skills, a guided tour to explore local attractions, a creative art activity, a surprise extra activity for added excitement, and two hours of language exchange to practice with native speakers. As a newer school, we are always open to hearing your interests, and seek to develop programs that interest you.

If you are interested in just the 10 hours of Immersive Activities, the cost is currently $1200MXN.

Tour a Las Canteras

Our weekly activities usually start at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday to Friday, offering 10 hours of interactive experiences designed to boost your Spanish skills while having fun.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Intercambios (Language Partner) | Practice with native speakers in a relaxed setting

  • Short City Tour | Explore local places while practicing your Spanish

  • Cultural or Art Workshop | Get creative with arts, crafts, dance, or even cooking

  • Language Workshop (Playful Spanish) | Learn slang and expresions

  • Extra Activity | A surprise each week — music, board games, museums and more!

Every activity is 2 hours long, except for the Intercambio, which is 1 hour on Tuesday and Thursday.

Playful Spanish

We offer a unique standing weekly workshop, “Playful Spanish” which is made up of thematic one-day classes that introduce the students to a variety of different ways in which Mexicans and Spanish-speakers in general play with their own language.

Crash course workshops

Additionally, we offering several two-day “Crash Course” workshops that are available on request:

  • 2 days - 2.5 hours per day

  • Is a mix of classes and trips to the markets, restaurants, cultural spaces etc. to practic

  • For levels from beginner & up

Spanish for Travelers

  • 2 days - 2.5 hours per day

  • Includes class discussion of contemporary art in Latin-America, Mexico and Oaxaca, as well as visits to local museums, galleries, etc.

  • For levels upper beginner and up

Contemporary Art in Oaxaca

  • 2 days - 2.5 hours per day

    Includes a discussion of the political situation currently and an overview of its history including the conflict in 2006
